the weekend!

Well, this weekend was really good! Saturday I caught up with myself on laundry and stuff. And even helped Jen out with some of her laundry this weekend...between Christmas, working so much, and having a cold, Jen hasn't been getting to come wash. (She washes at my house because she has no hook-up at the little apartment!) Saturday night me and Megan watched a movie called "the Eye"...it was very good!

Sunday, Maya came to play!! fun!! She loves her new kitchen that Mrs. Griffin and Linda bought for her! She had a fun time at gram's house! Jen came over later and we had a good visit too!

I also had a BIG sale in my etsy shop this weekend! So, that was really nice too! Altogether a really wonderful weekend! Hope yours was good too!

Wow! I have almost emptied my shop of crocheted items with my Christmas sale! Yesterday a lady who makes beautiful reborn dolls (she has bought a few booties from me before) bought alot of baby and dolly stuff! She sent me a couple pics of her reborns wearing the booties that she has purchased from me. Aren't they cute!!?? I will put a link to her etsy shop on...her username is nightngale1111.

A Wonderful Christmas!!

Hi Everyone! I hope that everyone had as wonderful a Christmas as I did! We had Jen and Maya, and Raqui, Danny and their little guys here for dinner and present opening! It was alot of fun! Unfortunately nobody remembered their camera, so I have no pics! ((That is one thing this Gram is going to buy as soon as possible! My own digital camera!))

Maya has been sick, the Dr. told Jen yesterday its just a cold...but, sure has been making her feel bad! So, she wasn't her usual self! But, the boys were their usual wild little selfs! They all played alot and the grown-ups all enjoyed dinner!! All went well! A great Christmas!

I was very happy with all the gifts I received for Christmas! You all do too much for me! I love you all and thank-you very much!!

Crazy Arkansas Weather!

Yesterday the temp high was 61 degrees....today we have an ice storm!!!! It got up to about 35 degrees today and it sure was scary driving home!!
I didn't realize it was so bad! In Linda's back yard it just looked wet and like a really light snow in the dry parts! Then I get out to the car to go home and there's a sheet of ice on the windows and the door wouldn't open! I finally got the back door open and crawled over (if you can imagine!! Not an easy thing for this old gram to do!!) and then I got the car started and sat there and let it run and the heat blow for about 10 minutes before the door would open...the scraper wouldn't work and the de-icer wouldn't even hardly work...I drove home with barely any visibility and no more than 20 or 25 mph the whole way!! The overpass was VERY SCARY!!! For those of you who don't know...here we have no salt trucks or plows, only a sand truck which they use to put sand on the only bridges and stuff! So, when its bad its bad! The whole town pretty much shuts down!!

Hi everyone! I had a very busy weekend! Hope you all had a great one! I FINALLY gave all the doggies a bath and decorated for Christmas!

I thought today I would share my newest interest! I have fallen in love with these cute little dolls called Dinky Babies! Well, I finally traded for one with a really sweet seller on etsy (see cicuselephant83 at left). I got a really sweet Dinky Baby and she is gradually getting some crocheted clothes created for them! Here are a couple of pics of the things I've created for these sweet little dollies!

Hope everyone had a good day today! Jen and Maya came to visit. First, while Jeffry had Maya with him, Jen and I went driving for awhile...she's doing better, smoother all the time...this is really a new experience for both of us! I never taught anyone to drive before!! Later Maya came over and promptly went to sleep in Jen's arms and napped just about the whole time she was here! Good thing they also visited yesterday and we had a really fun time together!

Didn't get to see my boys this weekend...it just didn't work out!

I sold 3 pairs of crocheted booties on etsy today! Yeah! A return customer!
