Thanksgiving of 2011

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving! At my house, we had 16 people, 10 of which were grandchildren! It was alot of fun!!! We were dissapointed Tom and Carelyn couldn't come with little Katahlina! But, I enjoyed seeing everyone else, and particularly baby Asa!!

I am now a grammy 0f 14!! Little Asa William has joined our family on the 2October 20th!! Isn't he precious!

The baby Tessa is doing great! Take a look at her blog*** link on the left! She shows the outfit I made in one of the posts! She was supposed to be buried in it. It truly is a miracle she lived and is doing so great!

a new baby to love

Not too long ago I got a request for a custom order in the shop for a dress/hat/booties set to fit a baby at 20 weeks gestational age. It was a first for me, I was very sad to here there were complications in this lady's pregnancy and they didn't expect her to carry teh baby past 20 weeks, and even if she did they expected the baby to die at birth. Well, I crocheted the dress set with many prayers for this woman and this baby. I sent it off and then a week or two later, sent her an email asking how things were goin. I just couldn't help myself, it was not any of my business really, but I really wanted to know the outcome. Well, the lady sent me a link to her blog where she has been keeping everyone updated on hw things are going. She ended up carrying the baby to 28 weeks and the baby Tessa was born and is ok, though of course VERY tiny, with still a long way to go. Megan's petunias and elfs in the bathroom!!!

Here are Megan's petunias that we planted in a planter by the back door! I believe she has a green thumb! They have just grown like crazy!

And my elfs are now living in the bathroom! Cute idea, I thought! This little white shelf and the one with my porcelain collection are ones Raqui got me at yard sales/ thrift shops. Nice!

new apartment

I have been awful as usual with posting anything...gonna give it a try today. Thought you might like to see a few things I've put up in the house ---- its been so fun getting to do my house differently with the new apartment! Using the same things differently. The first pic is pitcher collection in the dining area. Then the next three are my bedroom, my babies, artist bears, and my annies. Last is my porcelain collection in the living room. More to come!!

Elfs, Elfs and MORE Elfs

This is something new I tried this winter! Elf hats! I made up the pattern myself! And, of course tried it out on some of the grandbabies. If yours didn't get them this year, they probably will next year! But, I thought you might like to see the ones that DID get them wearing them. These were all crocheted with some of the new "stripes" yarn, which is really fun to work with! I've also listed some in my etsy shop, also some pixie hats and caps. I even sold a few! Now that winter is almost over its time to switch to spring!! So, I will be starting on spring items now.

Thought all those who weren't here for the event...might like to see what Vinny looks like with his hair braided! Auntie Raqui did it for him...he cried some, but she said for his age he was REALLY good!!

Kathalina loves her bath!!

Little Kathalina started out hating her bath! OOH! How she would scream! She hated it longer than most kids do! Then, Carelyn bought her a ducky bathtub and she started liking it better. Now she loves it! I got some cute pics and a "movie" of her in it the other day! I just wish my bathtub wasn't so ugly!! But, you can see she really enjoys herself now! Even when she sneaks into the bathroom, she plays with her friend the ducky!!! lol!

We had a wonderful visit with Amy and David and their three kids! Me and Megan and Jennifer and her two kids were able to be there. The girls, Sarah, Julie and Maya made gingerbread houses and really enjoyed it! And, of course they all played and played. Vinny and Andrew enjoyed each others company too! And all of us big folk enjoyed our visit too! David even fixed a glitch in my computer while here! Thank-you David!!

a new year

Well, its a new year and I am going to TRY to do this blog business again! I realize that I stopped just before I started the job with startek! And the worst part is I stopped at Andrew's birth and have gotten 3 more beautiful grandbabies since then! Roman arrived in december 2009, levi on january 2010 and Kathalina in March 2010. Today is actually little Levi's 1st birthday!! They are ALL little sweeties, neart and far! Kathalina spends alot of time here, at my house. Right now she is terrorizing the dogs and giggling like crazy!!
